Key Partners: This event series is an initiative of the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Vancouver, in partnership with the B.C. CORE Cleantech Cluster, led by Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre.
BACKGROUND: The global cleantech industry is on a growth trajectory with an estimated market of 2.5 trillion USD by 2022. CleanBC has set the stage for British Columbia to lead Canada through this rapid growth plan. To capitalize on this significant economic opportunity, the pace of technology deployment, investment, commercialization, and industry adoption must accelerate.
Unlocking international trade and investment opportunities is one of many strategic key elements required to accelerate action. Collaboration with countries and market leaders allows us to mutually benefit through leveraging skills, products, technologies, and knowledge to meet our climate goals. With favorable agreements in place, including the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, and strong alignment in climate goals, the necessary conditions are in place to take partnerships to the next level between British Columbia & Europe.
