West-Canada - Europe Cleantech Connect

Be at the forefront of the cleantech revolution. In this dynamic 4-part webinar series, you will join British Columbia (B.C.) CORE Cleantech Cluster, Consul Generals, and industry thought-leaders from across Europe, to connect with emerging Canadian innovations as we explore opportunities for near-term collaboration.

This interactive, virtual series will include:

  • Innovation pitches from clean technology enterprises across B.C.
  • Themed panel discussions featuring trade and industry experts
  • Regional & sector driven content
  • Interactive Q&As

Four Key Exploratory Themes: 1) Hydrogen/Fuel Cells 2) Alternative Fuel & Power Management 3) CCUS 4) The Circular Economy & The Built Environment

  • Industry thought-leaders from across British Columbia, the Netherlands, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Ireland, Switzerland, and Finland will speak about opportunities in these four thematic key sectors. We will move from practical business collaboration to a conversation on economic recovery policies and the intersection with climate and cleantech policies.

Key Partners: This event series is an initiative of the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Vancouver, in partnership with the B.C. CORE Cleantech Cluster, led by Foresight Cleantech Accelerator Centre.

BACKGROUND: The global cleantech industry is on a growth trajectory with an estimated market of 2.5 trillion USD by 2022. CleanBC has set the stage for British Columbia to lead Canada through this rapid growth plan. To capitalize on this significant economic opportunity, the pace of technology deployment, investment, commercialization, and industry adoption must accelerate.

Unlocking international trade and investment opportunities is one of many strategic key elements required to accelerate action. Collaboration with countries and market leaders allows us to mutually benefit through leveraging skills, products, technologies, and knowledge to meet our climate goals. With favorable agreements in place, including the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement, and strong alignment in climate goals, the necessary conditions are in place to take partnerships to the next level between British Columbia & Europe.
